As a highly integrated and agile AEP/PMCM firm, KEO is recognized by ENR as one of the Top 225 International Design Firms and one of the Top 20 International PM/CM Firms. We are seeking a talented HSE Engineer, seconded to our Client from the government sector in Doha, Qatar, to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned and unplanned inspections of Framework Contractors work activities and Labor Camps to ensure compliance with contractual HSE obligations.
- Ensuring timely closure of HSE non-conformities by the Framework Contractor.
- Reviewing and analysing H&S plans from Framework Contractors for compliance with QCS 2014.
- Supporting client internal audits and conducting Second Party (BAU) Audits.
- Reviewing HSE Weekly/Monthly Reports and Contractor’s Key Personnel CV’s.
- Monitoring Framework contractor performance and providing reports to the contracts team.
- Reviewing Framework Contractor’s KPI’s related to HSE for invoicing.
- Coordinating with relevant engineers and contractors regarding HSE activities.
- Preparing and submitting monthly H&S reports on DNO&M and Framework Contractor performance.
- Ensuring team compliance with new business processes (including EAMS and Frameworks) and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Liaising with other teams in Control and Technical Follow-up sections.
- Monitoring the issue of permits (entry, confined space, shutdown, etc.) per client procedures.
- Conducting/attending monthly HSE meetings with the Contractor.
- Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a similar position.
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or relevant degree from an accredited University or College program.
- Holder of Diploma in NEBOSH, OSHA or equivalent.
- Holder of certificates in Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, First Aid, and Hazard Assessment.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of management systems and ISO accreditation.
- In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of Quality, Health and Safety, and Environment policies and regulations.
Languages: Bilingual (Arabic and English) preferred
