Job Description / Role:
Lead the personnel safety, transportation safety, and WMS activities through developing procedures, processes, and guidelines; conducting risk assessments; and communicating key highlights in line with the Company’s HSE policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures HSE Management System implementation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Develops personnel safety, transportation safety, and Work Management System (WMS) procedures, processes, and guidelines.
- Develops personnel safety and WMS KPIs in line with business objectives.
- Conducts regular awareness sessions to communicate key updates.
- Leads and liaises HSE Systems and Procedures document control and management.
- Manages transportation safety in adherence with HSE standards and HSEMS requirements.
- Develops technical specifications for transportation, personnel safety, and WMS.
- Leads Personnel Safety and WMS studies, assessments, and evaluations of workplace conditions.
- Plans and supervises team personnel and resources to achieve Department objectives.
- Monitors team budgets, expenditure, and performance KPIs.
- Implements organizational structure, performance management systems, and change management initiatives.
- Ensures HSE training and induction for all team employees.
- Prepares MIS and progress reports for management.
Experience Required:
- 10 years of experience in personnel safety.
- At least 5 years in a similar supervisory role.
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Personnel Safety, Environment, or any equivalent disciplines.
Skills Required:
- Sound knowledge and skills of best practices in the field of personnel safety.
- Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations.
- Understanding of fitness to work, industrial hygiene survey, and public health.
- Team leadership and resource management.
- High-level communication skills.
- Knowledge of industrial processes, equipment, and materials applicable to the oil and gas industry.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Professional Certifications: NEBOSH, OHSAS 18001, OCHS.
