Job Description / Role:
Our client is undergoing a large-scale digital and data transformation and is seeking an experienced Senior BI Developer to help drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. This is an opportunity to work with modern analytics platforms, build high-impact dashboards, and translate complex datasets into meaningful business insights.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a passion for data storytelling, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions through intuitive and actionable visualizations.
This role goes beyond traditional report development. You will be responsible for designing and delivering insightful, narrative-driven dashboards that communicate the story behind the data and support strategic and operational decision-making. You will play a key role in transforming complex information into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop impactful dashboards and reports using Power BI and other BI visualization tools.
- Create engaging visual experiences that present complex data in a clear and actionable way.
- Apply best practices in data visualization and dashboard design to enhance user adoption and business value.
- Own the end-to-end BI development lifecycle, from data preparation and modeling through to dashboard deployment and optimization.
- Develop scalable and maintainable reporting solutions that meet business requirements.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting environments.
- Build and optimize semantic models to support enterprise-wide self-service analytics.
- Design efficient data models that enable consistent reporting and performance at scale.
- Work within an Agile/Scrum framework to deliver high-quality reporting and analytics solutions.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to deliver value in iterative releases.
- Gather requirements and translate business challenges into technical solutions.
- Present analytical insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and continuously improve analytical capabilities.
Experience Required:
- 5-7 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Reporting development.
- Experience working with large-scale data platforms such as Databricks.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Skills Required:
- Expert-level experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, DAX, and data modeling.
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex and optimized queries.
- Proficiency with Python for data analysis and transformation.
- Strong understanding of semantic modeling and self-service BI principles.
- Demonstrated ability to create business-focused, narrative-driven dashboards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
