Job Description / Role:
The Payments Manager leads ADNOC Distribution’s payments agenda across all customer touchpoints, with accountability for defining the payments roadmap, governing delivery with internal stakeholders, and managing strategic partnerships with schemes, banks, and payment service providers.
The role ensures a secure, compliant, and frictionless payment experience that supports growth in digital penetration, customer satisfaction, and revenue contribution.
The position also owns the end-to-end design, launch, and performance management and P&L ownership of the various financial products such as co-brand bank card, remittances, open loop Wallet etc, and drives continuous improvement through technology, commercial optimisation, and process re-engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the payments roadmap (in-store, app, web, B2B where applicable) to improve conversion, speed, and customer experience.
- Sponsor business cases with Digital/IT and Finance for new payment capabilities including benefits, costs, risks, and implementation.
- Lead governance with schemes and partners to optimize authorization rates, manage chargebacks, and improve operational performance.
- Drive delivery with payment acquirers to ensure secure implementation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor market trends and evaluate new payment methods/currencies such as AANI, Cryptocurrency, and Stable coins.
- Own the end-to-end co-brand card proposition, including product design, go-to-market, lifecycle management, and performance governance.
- Negotiate and structure co-brand agreements with Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Procurement.
- Execute acquisition and spend-growth strategies to achieve issuance and activation targets.
Skills Required:
- Strong background in payment roadmap development and strategy.
- Proficiency in P&L management and financial product lifecycle ownership.
- Expertise in navigating bank/payment service provider partnerships.
- Knowledge of digital payment technologies and regulatory landscapes.
- Cross-functional leadership skills to work with Marketing, IT, Legal, and Finance departments.
