Job Description / Role:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Inspector (Infrastructure) to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will perform continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications, with particular focus on roadworks, storm water systems, and cycle track facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure construction works are performed in accordance with approved plans, ADM/DMT standards, and active mobility guidelines.
  • Supervise construction of cycle tracks, pavement layers, asphalt, signage, drainage, and street furniture.
  • Report construction failures, non-conformance, or poor workmanship to the ARE or RE.
  • Maintain a detailed diary of daily work activities, labor, and equipment used.
  • Interface with stakeholders and the public to mitigate construction impacts and safety concerns.
  • Coordinate with contractor site engineers, surveyors, and other discipline inspectors.
  • Process Inspection Requests and maintain accurate records of status.
  • Maintain records for work executed on a Day Works basis.
  • Participate in health and safety compliance on-site.

Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience in road/infrastructure construction supervision and storm water projects, including on-site inspection roles. Experience on ADM/DMT projects in Abu Dhabi or the wider UAE preferred.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, IFC drawings, and method statements.
  • Thorough familiarity with construction processes for roads, drainage, and urban infrastructure.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in reporting and project-specific engineering software.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder and contractor management.
