Job Description / Role:

Black Pearl is recruiting an experienced Gymnastics Programme Manager for a premium sports and fitness facility in Abu Dhabi. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coaching quality, programme growth, participant development, safeguarding, team performance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic direction and overall performance of the gymnastics programme.
  • Manage programme revenue, enrolment, occupancy, capacity utilisation, retention, waiting lists and profitability.
  • Develop structured recreational and competitive pathways from beginner through advanced levels.
  • Remain an active coach and regularly deliver gymnastics classes.
  • Set the standard for lesson planning, participant engagement, coaching delivery and professional conduct.
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor and retain qualified gymnastics coaches.
  • Conduct structured one-to-one meetings, lesson observations, performance reviews and development planning.
  • Deliver coach-education sessions, practical workshops and continuing professional development.
  • Ensure all coaching programmes are safe, progressive and age-appropriate.
  • Monitor athlete and participant progression against structured objectives.
  • Maintain safeguarding, child-protection and participant-welfare standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, risk assessments and equipment inspections.
  • Manage programme timetables, coach rotas, staffing levels and operational resources.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, performance reports and operational updates.
  • Build strong relationships with participants, parents, schools and community organisations.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and improve participant and parent satisfaction.
  • Plan competitions, showcases, holiday camps, workshops and community events.
  • Collaborate with Academy Operations, Membership Sales, Marketing and Member Experience.
  • Support programme promotions, participant-acquisition campaigns and cross-programme referrals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in coaching quality, retention and commercial performance.

Experience Required:

  • At least five years of gymnastics coaching experience in a structured recreational or competitive environment.
  • At least two years of experience leading or managing a gymnastics programme, academy or coaching team.
  • Proven experience mentoring, observing and performance-managing coaches.
  • Experience developing structured participant pathways.
  • Experience managing timetables, rotas, staffing and programme capacity.

Education Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 2 Gymnastics Coaching qualification or recognised national governing body equivalent.
  • Valid safeguarding or child-protection qualification.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related discipline (Preferred).

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of gymnastics methodology, child development and safeguarding.
  • Knowledge of health and safety, risk management and equipment-inspection requirements.
