Job Description / Role:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai. In this role, you will perform a variety of standard estimating activities and re-measurement of work completed by the contractors, either individually or as part of a team, on an assigned project/program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing contractual and commercial correspondence
- Handling of cost reports, variations, and claims
- Maintaining payment, variation, and claims logs
- Coordinating with clients and the entire supervision team regarding contractual/claims letters
- Providing support for all commercial and contractual issues
- Guiding Quantity Surveyors on measurement principles
- Reviewing BOQ recapitulations, Monthly Financial Affairs Reports, and Interim/Final measurements
- Reviewing and processing contractor and consultant interim and final pay certificates
- Preparing/reviewing tender documents and tender reports
- Preparing/reviewing variation and new rate submissions and change orders for approval
- Supporting all cost planning and cost control functions
- Drafting and reviewing contractual letters
Experience Required:
- 15+ years of work experience in prime contract administration of major roads and large infrastructure projects
- Prior experience working in a consultancy (preferred)
- Related work experience in Dubai (preferred)
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying (or other related field)
- Professional Membership of MRICS (required)
Skills Required:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Conversant with CESMM, FIDIC, and other relevant standards
- Working knowledge of PC software packages associated with contract administration
- Ability to perform in a management capacity
- UAE Client Approvals (preferred)
