Job Description / Role:
A leading international bank is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Internal Reporting & Accounting to join their team in Dubai. This role offers regional exposure across multiple Middle East entities and provides significant visibility with senior finance stakeholders within the Finance & Control function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Maintain and control the general ledger across entities
- Prepare financial statements and support external audits
- Deliver accurate financial and management reporting
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards (including IFRS 9/16)
- Support cost analysis, forecasting, and budgeting activities
- Partner with stakeholders across finance and business teams
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives
Experience Required:
- Proven experience in financial accounting within banking or financial services
- Hands-on experience with month-end close and GL control
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting
- Strong analytical and numerical skillset
- Advanced Excel skills
- Power BI exposure
- Ability to work across multiple entities and stakeholders
