Job Description / Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to support strategic banking and digital transformation initiatives within a leading financial services environment.
This role is responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams by translating business requirements into functional solutions that drive measurable outcomes. The successful candidate will possess strong domain expertise across Retail Banking, Customer Onboarding, Customer Lifecycle Management, and Cards, combined with excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
You will play a key role in driving business change, enhancing customer journeys, and supporting the successful delivery of technology and process improvement initiatives within a regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and business requirements documentation
- Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA teams, and project stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and coordinate business validation and sign-off
- Analyse and optimise existing banking processes, customer journeys, and operational workflows
- Act as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment
- Support initiatives across customer onboarding, KYC, digital banking, customer lifecycle management, and card-related products and services
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiencies
- Ensure solutions comply with internal governance standards, business objectives, and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and stakeholder meetings to support successful project outcomes
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the banking or financial services sector
- Experience working within Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
- Previous experience working within UAE banking institutions or international corporate environments (preferred)
- Experience supporting customer journey transformation, onboarding, servicing, retention, and lifecycle optimisation programmes (preferred)
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent Business Analysis certifications (preferred)
Skills Required:
- Retail Banking, Customer Onboarding, Customer Lifecycle Management, and Cards and Payments Domain expertise
- Proven experience in requirement gathering, business process analysis, and solution documentation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, and SQL
- Knowledge of Open Banking, Banking APIs, FinTech integrations, and digital transformation initiatives (preferred)
- Familiarity with banking regulatory requirements and governance frameworks (preferred)
