Our newest opportunity is for a talented Inspector – Electrical to join our team based in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attending to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
- Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements, and international best practice.
- Reporting any works carried out by the contractor that are found not to be in accordance with approved drawings and specifications, and reporting to stakeholders for appropriate action.
- Monitoring the quality of electrical works and assessing safety on site, including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
- Maintaining records for daily activities on site, including progress photographs, and ensuring they are readily available for inspection as required.
- Preparing surveillance reports for deficiencies identified on site and issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required in line with project developments.
- Checking and ensuring effective coordination between electrical works and other disciplines.
- Providing technical input and experience to resolve any electrical discipline-related issues that may arise on site.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
- Experience gained from working on buildings projects in Abu Dhabi will be preferred.
Education Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
