Job Description / Role:

The Engineer, Quality Calibration will perform End-Item Quality Control checks on calibrated items within the Calibration Laboratory and validate results for compliance. The role involves maintaining metrological traceability and ensuring Calibration Measurement Capability (CMC) is aligned with current laboratory conditions. The engineer will also conduct audits to verify preventive maintenance and ensure calibration certificates comply with ISO 17025 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform End-Item Quality Control Checks on calibrated items within the Calibration Laboratory.
  • Validate results for compliance.
  • Verify Metrological Traceability of laboratory equipment and Calibration Measurement Capability (CMC).
  • Perform scheduled or random line audits to verify Preventive Maintenance and Intermediate Checking records are conducted in accordance with procedures.
  • Verify accuracy and correctness of Calibration Certificates in compliance with ISO 17025 and EAIC Requirements prior to release.

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of five years of experience working in calibration or handling calibration activities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, specifically proficient in Excel.

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering degree is an advantage).

Skills Required:

  • Understanding of quality and technical auditing requirements as per the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
  • Knowledge of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
  • Ability to conduct and formulate Uncertainty measurement computations (preferred).

Languages:

  • Effective communication in English, both in writing and verbally.
