Job Description / Role:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Engineer – MEP to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems on-site to ensure that construction activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. You will play a key role in promoting a quality-driven culture across all phases of the project. You will also have the opportunity to work on one of our key buildings, involving extensive high‑rise tower construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain on‑site QA/QC systems for high‑rise tower and building projects, ensuring full compliance with approved quality plans, client requirements, and project specifications.
- Monitor MEP construction activities (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low‑current systems) to ensure adherence to approved method statements and ITPs.
- Conduct regular inspections, tests, and audits on materials, workmanship, and construction processes; verify compliance with ASTM, BS, ISO, and project‑specific standards.
- Review and approve method statements, ITPs, material submittals, shop drawings, and coordination drawings for quality and constructability, in alignment with civil and architectural disciplines.
- Prepare detailed inspection and test reports, maintain quality logs, and issue Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs); track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
- Coordinate closely with contractors and subcontractors to clarify quality requirements, resolve non‑conformances, and ensure proper implementation of QA/QC procedures.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 and related standards; contribute to project quality plans and procedures.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits; provide evidence of compliance, identify gaps, and implement agreed action plans.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions to project staff and site teams on QA/QC procedures, inspection requirements, and documentation practices.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and archiving of inspection records, test reports, material certificates, and quality correspondence throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality engineering or QA/QC roles, including at least 5 years within the construction or Building sectors in a consulting environment.
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, subject to approval by the Engineer.
- Bachelor Degree (attested by the concern authorities in KSA).
Skills Required:
- Certification in quality management systems – ASQ, IRCA certificate (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, testing procedures, and applicable standards (ASTM, BS, ISO, etc.).
- Experience with QA/QC systems, tools, and documentation practices in large-scale projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality-related software tools.
