Job Description / Role:
The role involves working on projects associated with Sewage & Stormwater, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks and Water distribution networks Pumping Station, Recycling Plant and rehabilitation works. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction supervising & monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interacting with clients and contractor staff to determine and verify project requirements.
- Preparing inspection reports and site records.
- Performing civil and structural tests.
- Providing general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
- Identifying non-conforming works, generating reports and corrective actions, and coordinating responses.
- Working in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, supporting performing basic design calculations as required.
- Conducting technical, feasibility studies and site investigations.
- Liaising with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate completion of tasks and project deliverables.
- Following safe work practices and adhering to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
- Completing all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
Experience Required: Must have not less than 5 years’ experience in miscellaneous Sewage / Sewerage rehab work projects and supervision of infrastructure works.
Education Qualifications: Must have a Diploma/Degree in Civil.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in survey work with modern instruments and keeping site measurement records.
- Experience in utility diversions and management.
- Proficient in software including MS Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships with internal and external clients.
