Job Description / Role:
A reputable hospitality organization in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior Server Administrator to join its IT Infrastructure team. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s Microsoft server environment, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of critical business systems.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Microsoft server administration, Active Directory, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, with the ability to support enterprise-level infrastructure and business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize the organization’s Microsoft server infrastructure.
- Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, organizational units, and security permissions.
- Support and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft business applications.
- Monitor server performance, system availability, and infrastructure health to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Perform server installation, configuration, upgrades, patch management, and system migrations.
- Manage virtualization environments and storage solutions where applicable.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, network, and infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure systems comply with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to deliver infrastructure projects and technology improvements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and operational procedures.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, technology refresh initiatives, and digital transformation projects.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft server administration within an enterprise environment.
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Skills Required:
- Windows Server Administration
- Active Directory
- Group Policy (GPO)
- DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft networking services
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 administration and support
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies and enterprise server environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, Azure services, and hybrid environments
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills
