Job Description / Role:
Our American curriculum school, American School of Creative Science in Dubai, is looking for a creative, passionate, and outstanding Learning Support Assistant who values professional development opportunities and a good work-life balance.
The role requires providing learning support for Special Educational Needs students in class or in withdrawal situations, either 1:1 or in small groups, and in the playground and during outdoor activities, being mindful of their health and safety in relation to their condition and encouraging safe, interactive play. The incumbent must report any progress towards targets for Special Educational Needs students with a behavior Support Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide learning support for Special Educational Needs (SEN) students in class, withdrawal situations, 1:1, or small groups.
- Support students during playground and outdoor activities, ensuring health and safety.
- Encourage safe and interactive play.
- Monitor and report progress towards targets for SEN students with a behavior support plan.
Experience Required:
- Two continuous years of experience dealing with Special Educational Needs Students as a full-time shadow teacher.
Education Qualifications:
- High School or Bachelor’s degree.
- Courses in Education and/or Psychology preferred.
- Childcare qualification level 2 and/or 3 desirable.
Skills Required:
- Completed a RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Training/ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Training preferred.
