Job Description / Role:
Parsons is seeking a Material Inspector (Roads & Infrastructure) to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role involves comprehensive site inspection and quality control for civil and structural works.
You will play a critical role in verifying compliance with project specifications, managing Material Inspection Requests (MIR), and ensuring all technical documentation aligns with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares inspection reports, test reports, and site records in accordance with project quality procedures.
- Performs civil and structural material tests, including soil compaction, moisture content, aggregate gradation, concrete slump, and compressive strength tests.
- Inspects civil and structural materials delivered to the site, verifying quantities and technical compliance.
- Processes Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and signs them off according to project procedures.
- Monitors project quality control procedures and coordinates inspection documentation for project handover.
- Communicates site progress and quality information regularly to the project team.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in roads and infrastructure projects.
Education Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
- Capability in preparing inspection reports and technical documentation.
- Ability to handle the physical aspects of field and site inspection work.
- Commitment to safe work practices and HSE standards.
