Job Description / Role:
LAHAB DEFENCE SYSTEMS, a subsidiary of EDGE Group, is seeking an experienced MEP Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant equipment and systems, ensuring maximum production quantity and quality while supporting the organizational strategy of LAHAB.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure, troubleshooting system malfunctions, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems.
- Perform general electrical maintenance on electrical DB’s and identify spares as per specifications.
- Maintain, repair, and overhaul mechanical equipment, and diagnose utility equipment malfunctions.
- Execute the preventive maintenance program as per schedules for production facilities.
- Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using various coupling methods.
- Ensure leak-proof water, pneumatic, and gas lines throughout the plant.
- Assist the Supervisor in maintaining inventory for facility equipment maintenance.
- Respond to emergency situations to resolve safety concerns.
- Read, understand, and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Maintain QMS ISO, safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as allocated by a department Manager or Superior.
Experience Required: 5-8 years of experience in industrial MEP field.
Education Qualifications: Vocational Trade Certificate.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in various HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, building automation controls, and energy management systems.
- Familiarity with IoT devices, smart building technologies, or BIM software.
- Knowledge on pumps, motors, sensors, access controls, and fire fighting and fire control panels.
- Familiarity with reading engineering drawings, piping layouts, and electrical panel drawings.
- Valid UAE Driving license (manual vehicle).
- Good command of English language.
