Job Description / Role:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Quality Inspector (Electrical), seconded to our government sector client in Doha, Qatar. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all electrical works on project sites adhere to the highest quality standards, approved drawings, and specifications. You will work closely with contractors and internal stakeholders to monitor activities, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all assigned work meets agreed KPIs and SLAs while proactively coordinating with client teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Conducting planned and random site inspections of electrical installations and systems to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, local regulations, and relevant international standards.
- Inspecting electrical works, including power distribution systems, lighting systems, earthing and lightning protection systems, low-voltage installations, control panels, cabling works, and associated infrastructure.
- Monitoring contractor activities to ensure adherence to approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Witnessing electrical testing and commissioning activities, including cable testing, continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, functional testing, and system performance verification.
- Identifying non-conformances, quality issues, and deviations from project specifications, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigating recurring quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, and preparing detailed inspection reports with supporting documentation and photographs.
- Recording inspection findings and maintaining accurate quality records in relevant systems, ensuring timely updates and effective document control.
- Providing field-based technical support and guidance to contractors and project teams on quality-related matters.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and client representatives to resolve quality concerns and promote best practices.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements during all inspection activities.
- Participating in on-call escalation rotas and supporting colleagues as required to meet business needs.
Experience Required: A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electrical quality inspection, construction supervision, or quality assurance within infrastructure, utilities, or building projects. Experience working with government clients or large-scale infrastructure projects will be advantageous.
Education Qualifications: A Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Skills Required:
- Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including local authority requirements and international standards such as IEC, BS, or equivalent.
- Experience reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, test reports, and quality documentation.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Languages: English (required); Arabic proficiency is considered an advantage.
