Job Description / Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor specializing in building projects to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for precise measurement, cost control, and comprehensive monitoring of site activities, resource utilization, and contractor invoices to ensure project success.
The role requires a dedicated professional capable of overseeing material compliance, machinery usage, and manpower verification on-site to ensure work adheres to specifications and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate accurate quantities of site works performed by contractors and subcontractors.
- Perform quality control of work executed on-site.
- Review Monthly Payment Applications, verifying quantities, rates, completion percentages, and final amounts.
- Compare site quantities against Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
- Oversee material delivery, usage, quality compliance, and proper site storage for civil, finishing, and MEP materials.
- Monitor and record machinery utilization and working hours.
- Verify manpower levels, including skilled and unskilled labor.
- Ensure monthly works correlate with the submitted contractor invoices.
- Record and monitor construction resources to prevent unauthorized removal from the site.
- Prepare cost estimates for ongoing projects.
- Report any observed deviations in material specifications.
Experience Required: 15 Years in Quantity Surveying Works.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related Engineering Field.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in quantity measurement and BOQ analysis.
- Experience in civil, finishing, and MEP material specification compliance.
- Strong cost estimation and project monitoring abilities.
- Knowledge of construction resource tracking and management.
- Ability to audit contractor payment applications and invoices.
