Joining our Holdings Team as Senior Backend Developer will Empower you to deliver Exceptional Experiences across our award-winning Lifestyle Destinations. You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of robust backend systems while managing a team of developers in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust backend systems and services.
- Manage and mentor a team of 4 developers, providing technical direction, support, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and the Digital Transformation team to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
- Optimize application performance, ensuring responsiveness and scalability of server-side logic.
- Integrate with third-party APIs and develop RESTful services.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and provide technical guidance to the team.
- Manage and optimize databases, ensuring data security, integrity, and performance.
- Implement database and code security practices to prevent cyber threats such as hacking and SQL injection.
- Identify technical challenges and devise innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
- Participate in the architecture design of digital products and solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing relevant updates.
Experience Required: Minimum of 5-7 years of backend development experience. Experience in microservices architecture. Previous experience in the real estate or hospitality sectors is a plus.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (master’s preferred).
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Strong knowledge of API design and development, including RESTful and GraphQL.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Expertise in implementing database security and code security to prevent hacking, SQL injection, and other cyber threats.
- Familiarity with security best practices including encryption, authentication, and access control.
- Experience in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and ensuring systems are secure by design.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Docker, Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of security best practices and data protection.
