Job Description / Role:
Our client is currently hiring for the position of Senior Network Engineer. This role focuses on the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-level network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and robust security across complex LAN, WAN, and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and Internet connectivity.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls, VPN gateways, and load balancers.
- Ensure maximum network availability through redundancy, failover, and high-availability solutions.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Perform root cause analysis for major incidents and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Manage enterprise firewall security, VPN connectivity, IDS/IPS, and network access controls.
- Support Data Centre and Disaster Recovery infrastructure, including regular DR testing and business continuity planning.
- Administer core network services such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory integration, and enterprise connectivity.
- Support Microsoft Azure and cloud networking, including hybrid connectivity and VPN solutions.
- Maintain network monitoring solutions and generate regular health, capacity, and performance reports.
- Implement infrastructure upgrades, firmware updates, security patches, and configuration changes following change management procedures.
Experience Required: 7 Years
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Routing & Switching technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP, MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, and QoS.
- Experience configuring and supporting enterprise firewalls such as Cisco Firepower, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Check Point.
- Experience with wireless networking solutions including Cisco, Aruba, or Meraki.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure networking, hybrid cloud connectivity, and VPN Gateway.
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and enterprise virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, ManageEngine, Zabbix, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 infrastructure.
