Job Description / Role:
Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Project Manager (MEP) to join our team! In this role, you will be part of the PMC team responsible for managing the delivery, coordination, and integration of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, ELV, controls, security, and associated building systems for a complex development project.
You will provide project leadership across multidisciplinary teams, manage contractor and stakeholder interfaces, oversee program and delivery performance, and ensure the successful execution of project objectives from design through procurement, construction, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of all MEP systems and associated packages on behalf of the PMC throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary PMC focal point for MEP delivery matters, coordinating closely with the Client, consultants, contractors, utility providers, authorities, operators, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, ELV, controls, security, and specialist systems across the project.
- Manage the delivery of advanced building systems supporting a complex development.
- Manage project scope, delivery strategies, execution plans, program objectives, and performance targets.
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination across MEP, architectural, civil, structural, security, infrastructure, and specialist systems disciplines.
- Manage project interfaces between consultants, contractors, utility providers, authorities, operators, vendors, and third-party stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, key milestones, long-lead equipment procurement, testing and commissioning activities, and delivery risks.
- Lead project coordination meetings, progress reviews, technical workshops, stakeholder engagement forums, and interface management sessions.
- Support design integration, technical reviews, contractor evaluations, tender clarifications, and mobilization planning.
- Manage project risks, opportunities, constraints, and interface challenges.
- Support commercial and contractual processes including change management, variation reviews, extension of time assessments, and claims evaluation.
- Coordinate authority approvals, utility connections, permits, inspections, and testing requirements.
- Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, operational readiness, handover, and close-out activities.
- Prepare executive reports, project dashboards, and presentations for senior Client representatives and PMC leadership.
Experience Required:
- 20 years of professional experience in MEP engineering, project management, program delivery, or major capital project execution.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large and complex building, aviation, transportation, industrial, mission-critical, healthcare, data center, storage facility, or mixed-use development projects within a PMC, Engineer, or Employer’s Representative environment.
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical power distribution, plumbing, drainage, fire and life safety systems, ELV systems, security systems, controls, and integrated building technologies.
- Familiarity with BIM-enabled project delivery, digital coordination processes, and project information management systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and reporting skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), PMP, or equivalent professional accreditation (Desired).
- Knowledge of UAE authority requirements and regional project delivery practices (Desired).
